This is the full version of the app, with the option to share the spiritual daily reading through Facebook, WordPress etc.
The app does not require internet connection (except for the publishing on Facebook feature).
Note that there are two versions of the app available at the BlackBerry’s App World, one is on Russian, and the other on English.

The good news is that is now fixed, including the cause for that problem, and with the new 1.4 version, one can normally publish on FB via the app.
Another good side of this unfortunate event is that now the FB posting is slightly improved, with caption for the day, and future-proof — as it doesn’t use any methods that FB has in the meantime declared as obsolete. The widget functionality has also been optimized.

The difference between “just okay” typography and professional-level typography is usually in the details – like hyphenation. Often overlooked, proper hyphenation is essential for optimum readability and getting your message across.
The automated hyphenation was not working properly – it made lots of mistakes, which resulted in not so good “gray” level of the text.
But now, a proper dictionary (mainly Merriam-Webster) has been used for the hyphenation, and the results are very obvious, at least for my eyes
Other than that, upon a suggestion by the Strannik, the app can be installed on the SD card, and free some of your device’s main memory, although the app is less than 600KB, i.e. not so demanding. Have in mind, however, that in case you move it on the SD card, you won’t be able to use the widget. And, of course, installing on SD card is possible since Android 2.2, but not in the earlier versions.

Through the “Share” option you can send the text to your friends via e-mail, text message, or by any other means available on your device.
Facebook – a different story. If you have a Facebook app on your phone, you’ll get an option to share on Facebook via the “Share” option, but most likely – that will not work. I found out that it is due to some limitations of the Facebook app and although they’ve promised to fix that, who knows if and when it would be done.
Thus, use the “Post on FB” button to directly post St Theophan’s daily contemplation to your Facebook wall!

Here’s a new app. The full name would be: Thoughts for Each Day of the Year According to the Daily Church Readings from the Word of God By St. Theophan the Recluse. Quite a long title, but it says it all.
The texts are included, so no internet connection is required.
The app is available from the Amazon Appstore.
